_ spaghetti _

In Italian, spaghetti meaning "little ropes." Spaghetti can be eaten with a thick sauce made from tomatoes, meat or seafood, spices, etc. and given a cheese grater. Spaghetti can be eaten with cheese sauce mix egg. sometimes given the same spaghetti sauce minced meat balls.
Spaghetti is still "brothers" with fettuccine, lasagna, macaroni and the like are also a lot of fans in Indonesia.
Fettuccine like a flat wide noodles. Its use is similar to spaghetti. form lasagna sheets arranged alternating with cheese sauce and tomato sauce containing meat, then baked in the oven. Macaroni is a long straight, there is a short slightly curved. Middle holes are like pipes.
There's no such thing as spaghettini (meaning: a small spaghetti), vermicelli (meaning: a small caterpillar) and over 150 other forms. There are like a rope, like a ribbon, like a tube, which twisted like opening a bottle, the shape of the letter, and so forth. Each has its own name. However, it was diebut pasta.
Actually, the word maccheroni used the Italians to refer to dried pasta. Pasta, like with noodles, there are wet and some are dried so durable. In Indonesia, we generally use dried pasta.
Pasta was originally a food of Italy, but more and more popular around the world. In Indonesia, dry macaroni can we meet up in the stalls. Spaghetti, fettuccine, lasagna, and others can be bought in supermarkets and grocery stores are great.
We can make their own sauce. But, there is also sauce so in bottles or cans.
We can buy a meal of pasta in restaurants and fast food restaurants. In Jakarta, even a dish of spaghetti has been sold in the stroller.
pasta made from wheat, but not just any flour, but from semolina from durum wheat. pasta from durum wheat will not be mushy when boiled. Boil pasta until tender should not once, but only until al dente, meaning it still feels springy when bitten.
Pasta generally white, or yellowish ngak. However, there is also green because it interfered with because of mixed red spinach or beets.
Perhaps, the Italians learned to make spaghetti from Marco Polo. Marco Polo is a traveler who comes from Venice. He went to China (1271) and stayed there for a dozen years. (On the way back to his country, he was stopped five months in Sumatra, lo!) On his return from China, Marco Polo teach you how to make noodles to residents of the place of origin. Be, Italian noodles which came to be called spaghetti.
however, not all Italians agreed with that story.
They said, was merciful previous century, ie since the Roman era, the Italians know fettucinne. That looks like wide noodles, lo! certainly, the new 1 / 2 centuries after Marco Polo returned to his homeland, and spaghettini spaghetti noodles shaped like it is widely known in Italy.
